When I Grow Up Goings-On! - When I Grow Up

When I Grow Up Goings-On! - When I Grow Up Ive had so much good good stuff that I contributed to coming out over the last few weeks, and Im finally popping my head out of the Declaration of You hole Ive been living in to share it all in one shot. ?? My friend and CRAVE owner Melody Biringer has released a new book called Flipped It! that I was interviewed for alongside 39 other Women of the World like Danielle LaPorte and Tori Johnson! Its all about women business owners who flipped their failures into successful, authentic ventures, and its such a practical, inspiring read. You can pick it up sign up for a free online summit with some of the interviewees right here. Ive known Jess Lively for a few years now (if any of you old schoolers remember the Spring Inspiration project I did in 09ish, Jess was one of the original co-hosts!), and shes the type of writer biz owner whose blog posts + newsletters always get open read by me. I couldnt believe it when she told me she had been writing her What I Wish I Knew newsletters for almost a year, but I did say DUH immediately when she asked if Id contribute to an ebook she was putting together with all the content. I answered questions on what I wish I knew about being certified, standing out, collaborations, running a biz while being sick, etc. Check it out and get tons of pro-active advice right here. I get to play Oprah when Im in Portland for the World Domination Summit, and you can be in the studio audience (figuratively, of course!). I was just ticked pink to have been asked to facilitate the QA of Jen Lees new film, Indie Kindred. Its all about creative collaboration, and Ill be interviewing the artists whore profiled: Jen Lee, Jolie Guilleabeau, Christine Mason Miller, Liz Lamoreux, Liz Kalloch! If you have a ticket to WDS, make sure you purchase a ticket to this inspiring event (it even includes a catered lunch!) right here. Speaking of Portland and the World Domination Summit, Jess and I are having a real live, honest to goodness Book Lovin Par-tay on July 5th at 8p Pacific! At best itll be a book signing (we hope well have em on hand by then!), and at worst itll be a super fun place to raise a glass with us and meet other likeminded Declarers old and new. Itll be downtown so its super easy to get to, and well have the downstairs bar to mingle at! You can find the details and RSVP right here. Tomorrow Ill be at AltSummit NYC, hobnobbing with the cutest bloggers alive in Martha Stewart Headquarters! If youll be there too, make sure you tweet me up @WhenIGroUpCoach so that we can share a cupcake or three (I assume therell be cupcakes at such an adorable event). And for those who wanna attend virtually, you can check my Twitter or Instagram feed for my takeaways and/or follow the hashtag #altsummitnyc. And on a personal note, Im wrapping up a super short trip to see the fam, including our sweetest baby nephew! We cant get enough of him. Apologies to everyone whos following me on Facebook Instagram for clogging up the feed (but not really. Cute babies are what social media was made for!) What have you been up to? Where can I find you hangin out lately? Let me know in the comments!
